As some of you may have noticed, of late, my blog has fallen to the wayside with not much new content (although my Instagram has been pretty active). I pulled an Ed Sheeran and dropped off of the face of the planet. This is due to a variety of reasons. First and foremost, because I was spending so much time editing and writing while maintaining a regular 8-5 job at the same time, I realized that I did not have time for much else in my life, and a lot of things that I usually enjoy doing had fallen to the wayside, meaning that I was enjoying my life less than I should be. I began to start seeing my blog as a chore, instead of a pastime that I do just for the fun of it. So, in order to stop seeing it that way, I decided to take a sabbatical from blogging for about 6 months to attempt to re-embrace all of the things that I love in life. I began to read more, spend more time with my family, hang out with friends, and rediscover things that I love but did not have time for.
So I’m actually getting this video up before the end of March, which is actually extremely surprising, as I am quite slow with these. Hopefully you all enjoy this month’s Birchbox vs. Ipsy. Links and box value will be down below! Continue reading
Back with another review of another amazing product. I purchased the Kat Von D Tattoo liner probably a month and a half, maybe two months ago. And the reason it took me so long to post a review for it is because i really wanted to give you a solid, honest review talking about EVERYTHING, as first impressions of a product compared to how it makes you feel in the long run can differ. So let’s get into the pros and cons of this product.
This mascara has been getting so much hype that I felt it was necessary for me to try it out and tell you my honest opinion. Even though the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara might have a shocking name to some, and a shocking price tag for others, as it costs $23, which is reasonable for more luxe brands like Too Faced, Urban Decay, and Tarte, it is a pretty good mascara, although I am not sure if I would call it my absolute favorite, as what I want in a mascara changes as often as I change my underwear: daily. It is good enough that it will stay in my permanent collection, on my vanity, instead of being pushed into some drawer like so many other mascaras. To find out why, read through my pros and cons down below.
When I walked into Ulta, and saw the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani palette sitting out (and it was the last one they had in stock), I knew that I had to have it. I saw that beautiful Black and white packaging with the gold accents and my heart just clenched. It needed this palette in it’s life. My life needed those beautiful neutral shades, those pops of colors, the perfect mixture between matte and shimmer, and it needed to have a little piece of Gwen Stefani in it’s life. Quite frankly, this palette is B-A-N-A-N-A-S, and I will be a Hollaback girl for this palette. Without further ado, let’s get into the pros and cons.
So, I took some time off from my blog. I know I’m bad but, I had to sort through a few things in my every day life. As you all can see though, I have come back in full force, ready to go with this post (although late) and this post, which is quite frankly, just hilarious as four year old normally are quite funny. If you haven’t watched either of those videos, highly recommend you watch BOTH of them (watch the second first for a good laugh). Either way, It is time, for my review of the NARS Contour blush in Olympia, which is the lightest of the 3 shades in this range, because, obviously, I’m ghostly pale. Let’s get into the pros and cons! Continue reading
Congratulations, you are all getting a double video post today, this one being the funnier of the two. My 4 year old cousin Shelby is my biggest fan, and she has started trying to make her own makeup videos, just like me. So, I figured, why not film a video with my biggest fan! This is the results, I know it is long, but you should have seen what I originally had to edit through.
Either way, I hope you all enjoy it! I know I enjoyed making it.
Be Kind and Be Loving!
